It's back to school time! This year is a bit bitter sweet for me. My youngest son will be a senior this year & therefore I'm having a mom moment for the remaining of the school year, lol. Having my son's senior year approach enlightened me about an important lesson in life...We never actually leave the classroom.
Think about it. We are constantly learning & experiencing lessons of life at all ages. Constantly learning from teachings from our peers, our travels, our experiences & of course, the mirror. It's amazing how every day we are learning & are not even aware of all we are taking in. We look upon each other for strength, skills in life & how to overcome hardships. Some lessons we learn late in life & some lessons plummet us to dark places that we learn to crawl out of. We fail on tests of life, over & over again. But, we learn & progress becoming the best version of ourselves. We are doubted by fellow classmates & some classmates become our bestfriends who root for us regardless of the situations. Sometimes the lessons in life are our biggest tests of faith. Sometimes we flunk a test & have to repeat it over & sometimes over. The thing is, no matter the lesson we are learning we have to remember that sometimes we may not get the assignment. But, this report card of life is not letter graded. It is graded by the type of person we allow ourselves to become. Not only for our life, but for those around us learning the lessons as well. Wow, life is an awesome teacher, but I am so glad it doesn't send out report cards...just sayin'
